This summer salad with peaches, Balkan cheese, and lavender dressing is a refreshing blend of sweet, savory, and floral flavors. Juicy fruit meets creamy cheese and a delicately fragrant dressing in this light, elegant dish – perfect for warm days or a stylish seasonal gathering.
You will need:
3 cups of shredded lettuce
1 red onion cut into wheels
2-3 tbsps. of crumbled Balkan cheese
2 peaches cut into small pieces.
For the dressing:
Juice from half of a lemon
5 tbsps. of olive oil
½ tsp. of sea salt
1 tsp. of mustard
1 tsp. of lavender leaves
1 cut garlic clove
2 tbsps. of balsamic vinegar.
Directions:
In preparing the dressing, mix all the ingredients together well. Then slowly add the oil and stir. If you wish to smooth out the onion flavor, you can mix it into the dressing. Gently roast the peach chunks and place them over salad leaves on a large plate. Then add onion, crumbled Balkan cheese and several lavender twigs for decoration, and finish by pouring the dressing on top.
