St. John’s Wort & Lavender Oil

Ales Vodicka, 1. 7. 20259. 7. 2025

Capture the strength of summer sunshine in a healing oil. This powerful blend of two beloved herbs soothes the body and calms the mind.
Note: After applying oil containing St. John’s Wort, avoid direct sunlight—it may cause photo sensitivity.

What’s it good for?

  • Minor wounds and scrapes
    Bruises
    Muscle tension
    Nerve pain
    Relaxation
    Perfect as a massage oil

You‘ll Need:

4 cups (1 liter) of high-quality cold-pressed oil (olive or sunflower)
3½ oz (100 g) of fresh flowering St. John’s Wort tops
2⅔ oz (75 g) of fresh lavender blossoms

Instructions:

Finely chop the herbs and place them in a large glass jar. Pour in the oil—make sure the herbs are completely submerged. Cover and set in a warm, semi-shaded spot. Let the mixture infuse for one week, shaking the jar gently each day.

After one week, strain the oil and pour it into clean bottles. Store in a cool, dark place.
