Herbal Citrus Cooler

Marek Vodicka, 19. 8. 202523. 8. 2025

A light and invigorating drink that’s perfect for hot summer days. The combination of fresh citrus juices and aromatic herbs creates a vibrant and thirst-quenching beverage that’s bursting with flavor. Serve it at picnics, barbecues, or any outdoor gathering to keep your guests cool and refreshed all summer long. Cheers to summer!

Ingredients:
• 4 cups water
• 1/4 cup fresh lemon juice
• 1/4 cup fresh lime juice
• 1/4 cup fresh orange juice
• 2 tablespoons honey or agave syrup (adjust to taste)
• 2-3 sprigs of fresh mint
• 2-3 sprigs of fresh basil
• ice cubes
• sliced citrus fruits (lemon, lime, orange) for garnish
• additional fresh herbs for garnish (optional)

Instructions:
In a large pitcher, combine the water, fresh lemon juice, fresh lime juice, and fresh orange juice. Stir in the honey or agave syrup until dissolved, adjusting the sweetness to your preference. Add the fresh mint and basil sprigs to the pitcher, gently bruising them with a spoon to release their flavors. Refrigerate the mixture for at least 1 hour to allow the flavors to infuse. When ready to serve, fill glasses with ice cubes.
Pour the chilled drink into the glasses, straining out the fresh herbs. Garnish each glass with slices of citrus fruits and additional fresh herbs, if desired. Stir the drink gently to combine the flavors. Serve immediately and enjoy the cool, refreshing taste of summer!
